Dr. Evan Ratner has practiced emergency medicine in San Antonio for 25 years. He has held multiple leadership positions at several hospitals in the San Antonio area, including Chief of Staff, and Head of Emergency Services at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital. He was the first Medical Director of the Sexual Assault Forensic Examination team that has been recognized for excellence nationwide. Dr. Ratner was the founding partner of the emergency staffing group, Impact Medical Services, which provided Emergency Physicians to three hospitals in San Antonio. He has served as the on-sight Medical Director for the Maccabi Games, an international olympic style sporting event. San Antonio magazine has chosen him as a “Top Doc” , Texas Monthly has selected him as a “Texas Super Doc”, and the San Antonio Business Journal honored him with the “Health Care Hero – Outstanding Physician “ award.  Dr. Ratner is one of the few physicians in South Texas certified in concussion management, and you can find him at CareNow Urgent Care clinics in San Antonio. He donates his time and expertise caring for injured athletes and teaching coaches, trainers, and parents about the importance of proper concussion awareness and management.
